May 2025 Kuma Haul

Most of this shopping trip happened in Fukuoka. I’ll add captions with what I think of the items if relevant! These are all pictures from when I bought the products. I can post updates on my Instagram if you need, just message me there!

I love this book!! It presents the history of Rilakkuma products and themes over the years, from the beginning. Lots of information and SO many cute illustrations.

This neck pillow has two straps – one at the top, to strap to your luggage handle, and one at the bottom to close it around your neck. It has a Rilakkuma face hoodie that you can throw over your head while you wear it, too. I’ve used it for a year now on road trips and during the trip to Japan in October last year, and it’s still just as “mochi” as when I bought it.

I also absolutely adore this tote. It feels like a leather bag, but I’m pretty sure it’s not real leather. It just feels like it’s well-made. The straps are long enough that when I throw it over my shoulder, there’s plenty of room for my arms, even if the bag is full. It fits everything I need for a day trip, a trip to the beach, etc. and it’s easy to clean. It has a small insert pocket that fits a cell phone or ear buds.
This has become my everyday wallet. It is very elegant-looking, and the pattern is so light in color that it isn’t too loud or kitshy-looking. I’ve gotten compliments from people who don’t even realize it’s a Rilakkuma-themed wallet. It feels well-made, sturdy, and I like the little Rilakkuma detailed studs in the corners. The zipper is sturdy and there are plenty of pockets and inserts for cards on the inside. The middle is a zipper pocket for coins, etc. and there is even a chain with a clip for if you want to add keys inside. It is big enough to fit my cell phone as well.
Hmm. The picture isn’t the greatest quality here, so I’ll have to show it on my Instagram as well. This purse came with a crossbody strap, and it has a lined pocket on the outside that fits something small like a cell phone or a pair of sunglasses. The inside is lined and can fit my wallet. The design matches the wallet, and they make a very cute pair! I like this purse and I use it sometimes. Not often though, because usually the only places I’m going are work and the beach.
I love this item, too!!! It is a rechargeable fan that has 3 intensity settings, and it comes with a cute little stand. You can charge it with any USB-C cord. I used to keep it in my bag, but I find that I use it more at work since my office doesn’t get that much air flow.

I love picking up new folders and stationary from the stores I visit. I Couldn’t resist grabbing this food-themed folder with a strap and zipper pocket! I actually haven’t found a use for it yet (still on my desk at home) but I know I will. I always regret not buying more of these after the fact.

This is a shrink bag for clothes during travel. You don’t need a vacuum to use it – you actually just press down and it forces the air out. I used it on this trip on the way back, and it worked really well. If you see these, try them, it worked for me.

I’ve seen these online as well. They are nice, I have the tote bag version and the backpack version. I use the tote bag one often for extra groceries when I go shopping. They are super handy when you travel.

This small, canvas tote bag ended up becoming my lunch bag for work. It’s about that size and is cute!
I use this almost every day considered it rains often where I live. Great umbrella, is officially one year old now as of this post and still going strong. I did lose the sleeve it came with though, I can’t remember where I put it.
This charm is SO small and cute. I ended up using it on my pink tote, but I think I’m going to add it to the crossbody purse instead.
This one was on my keychain for a bit, but I moved it to a small UNIQLO purse for now. It is adorable and I love the lighter, beige color.

This was a gigantic tote bag that I used as carry-on luggage for a couple trips now. I like it, but my only complaint is that the dividers inside don’t reach all the way to the bottom. So I found that small items slide around at the bottom between compartments, which meant a lot of digging around to find them afterwards. Could be solved by putting the smaller things in little bags, but still. Is easy to wipe down, but it doesn’t hold its shape, like most simple tote bags. It has a strip on the back to put over your luggage handle.

This jinbei is really a life-changer and I want to get more now. It is made with Japanese, petite body shapes in mind, though. For example, the top and bottom come as a pair. I got the medium size (I’m 5’6″/169cm and approx. 150lbs) because in American sizing I wear small shirts and medium bottoms. The top fits me fine but the bottoms are clearly made for someone with a tiny butt. I’ve broken it in a bit, and now they fit fine for the most part, if not a bit tight when I sit cross-legged, but just be aware of that if you buy the set.

This haul was a big success because almost every item became a regularly used item. Yay!!
